This game has been another breakout hit for Nintendo with 21.82 games sold ranking it third in best selling Wii game of all time. Its sequel Wii Fit Plus adds onto its popularity with more games and added multiplayer functionality.

4. Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel

If you’re a racing game fan, the Mario Kart Wii is a great addition to your Wii game collection. Nintendo sold 17.39 million copies of this game which slides it in forth spot in best selling Wii games. Every Mario Kart game comes with a Wii Wheel as an accessory where you can embed your Wii remote controller and drive like a racing star. There are 32 different tracks to test your skills and you can choose from 24 characters and 36 vehicles in which to play. There’s also an online multiplayer option where you can challenge your friends online.

5. Super Smash Bros. Brawl

As the name suggests, the Nintendo Wii Super Smash Brothers Brawl is just a big blast. Have you ever had conversations with your friends which character would come out on top if they were in a fight? The answer is here with this Wii fighter game. In Super Smash Bros Brawl, you have 35 characters to choose from including third party characters like Sonic the Hedgehog from Sega. 6. Super Mario Galaxy

Coming in at the number sixth spot for top selling Wii games is Super Mario Galaxy. In this 3D Mario game, the Italian plumber travels through the galaxy trying to rescue the damsel in distress Princess Peach from his archenemy Bowser. When it was first released in 2007, it garnered numerous awards including one of the best games of all time. This type of critical acclaim has helped it sell 8.02 million games worldwide.

7. Mario Party 8

Like the name suggest, Mario Party is best suited as a party game. Play with your friends in different virtual board games and challenge each other with hilarious results in mini games. This is a hi tech version of classic board games like Snakes and Ladders and all done with special candy rewards that give your character special powers as you try to amass as many stars along the way during an allotted time limit. 8. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

There have been many Zelda games produced over the years and it is one of Nintendo’s most iconic franchises. The Twilight Princess was the first Zelda game made for the Wii platform and it seems they got it right the first time around because this game won numerous awards as game of the year. This resulted in 4.52 million copies and ranking it number eight in the most Wii games ever sold. The game is in the action adventure genre as it follows the hero Link’s effort to save his universe from a parallel evil dimension named the Twilight Realm.

9. Link’s Crossbow Training

Right on the heels of the number eight spot is another game involving the Zelda series hero Link, this time in Link’s Crossbow Training. In this installment, Link goes through training in Target Shooting, Defender style, and Ranger style. There are nine playable levels where Link races within a time limit to attain the best score possible. What is notable about this game is that it comes bundled with the Wii Zapper which is definitely a cool accessory. This probably helped the game sell 3.76 million copies.

10. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

When you have two iconic video game characters such as Nintendo’s Mario and Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog in a game cross over, it’s bound to be a best seller and this game landed at number 10 as top Wii games sold. When you merge it with the Olympics, then it’s also a must have game in your collection. This title was first released as the official video game of the 2008 Summer Beijing Olympics. It includes a variety of events such as athletics, gymnastics, shooting, archery, rowing, aquatics, fencing, and table tennis. Following the success of 3.4 million Wii games sold, the sequel Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is set to celebrate the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
